Plaque unveiling: Jeannie Nassau Senior

Date
Fri 4 Jul 2025

No Booking Required

Organised by the Battersea Society. Jeanie Nassau Senior became the first female civil servant when she was made Inspector of Workhouses. She was critical of the existing arrangements and promoted what we now call fostering. All welcome to the unveiling of a plaque in her honour on the exterior of the Battersea Arts Centre, the site of her former home Elm House. Booking not required.
