Celebrating Eid: Then and Now(family and friends together)

Date
Fri 6 Jun 2025

Join us for Celebrating Eid: Then and Now, a special event where we honour the traditions and evolution of Eid celebrations across generations

This gathering is a unique opportunity to reflect on how Eid was celebrated in the past, as told through stories shared by elders, and to connect with family and friends as we celebrate the present day. Throughout the event you will have the chance to listen to heartfelt stories and memories from those who celebrated Eid in earlier times, offering a glimpse into the rich cultural practices, family traditions and community spirit that defined past celebrations. We will also explore old photos, allowing us to visually trace the evolution of the holiday and see how much has changed, and yet how much has remained the same. In addition to the storytelling and photo viewing, there will be delicious traditional food to enjoy, reflecting the tastes and flavours that have been part of Eid for generations. This is a celebration of both nostalgia and joy, bringing people of all ages together to share in the beauty of Eid, from the past to the present.
