Voices of Wandsworth: The Roehampton Collective
"If a butterfly could hear you, what would you say?" Voices of Wandsworth: The Roehampton Collective is a collaborative art installation that transforms personal messages into a powerful visual display.
Hundreds of origami butterflies, each carrying a thought, hope, or reflection from Roehampton residents, will come together to create an evolving tapestry of voices. These new butterflies will join those from the original Voices of Wandsworth installation, which first took flight at OSMO in Nine Elms for the London Design Festival 2025.
The installation journeyed through Battersea Arts Centre and finally found it's way to All Saints Church in Tooting: connecting communities across the borough. Voices of Wandsworth: The Roehampton Collective installation will be unveiled at Focus Hall on the Alton Estate and will invite visitors to explore this growing collection of voices.
A final event will bring these messages to life through spoken word and storytelling, turning personal reflections into a shared artistic experience. Step into a space filled with colour and meaning. Discover the butterflies, hear their stories, and witness the power of creativity to bring people together in unexpected and beautiful ways.
