Saint Cecilia's CE School Visit CNN

Saint Cecilia’s Journalism Club went to CNN studios in Central London at the end of June to learn more about news reporting. At the studios they pretended they were going live on TV and read the autocue above the camera.

Imad, Year 8, said: “When you’re live on public TV you should always be facing the camera and not look away.”

The Journalism Club spent two hours at CNN studios and met two cameramen who discussed their journey into journalism, when it wasn’t always their first choice.

Imad added: “The best bit of the day was pretending to be live on TV. They also told us you have to be patient as a journalist…and that is something I need to work on!”

After our visit we were buzzing with excitement to learn more about journalism and make our own reports.
