Wandsworth Schools Poetry Project

Participating schools will receive a series of poetry workshops and will be invited to take part in a celebration event where young people will get to perform their own works in front of their peers and other schools in November 2025.

In-school activity includes
- 6x half-day workshops in school during autumn term 
- First session includes whole-school assembly with poetry performance by professional poet
- Final session includes performance by participating pupils of their original poems
- Teacher support/continued engagement between workshops
- Max. class size 32

Additional activity
- Poetry Festival 18th-19th November
- Up to 12 pupils invited from each participating school to attend and perform their poetry in front of their peers, other schools and professional poets
- Poetry CPD for teachers (3-4 across the term at different locations to reach all local schools)
