Acacia School of Dance

We love that Wandsworth is full of people from all walks of life and cultures; we love that all ages and people from all walks of life take our classes. It has always been somewhere where every group, society, organisation can build a family of families and individuals and we can have a really varied showcase of talent.
Our mission, is through dance, for all our dancers to develop as people, physically, mentally and emotionally, with Love, Understanding and Consistency. We'd love to welcome you to our dance family in Clapham/Battersea, and with new friends and a highly-trained and experienced Principal, take you on a joyful journey of dance from 3 - 18 and beyond ...
We teach Ballet, Modern and Tap ISTD syllabus classes, including performing opportunities, charity events and lots of fun and new friends! (All the while maintaining a high level of technical training to enable progression to a high level and standard and learn safely with all the physical benefits dance has to offer for ALL ages).
We teach children from 3 years, believing that earlier classes aren't always beneficial, through Primary age, teenagers till they go off to University (or full-time dance training), and adults up to ANY age. Adult Tap classes are Wednesday evenings and Thursday afternoons; Ballet Mondays and Fridays.

Our hire policy
The long-standing involvement of people in the community always made Wandsworth special. I remember my very first dance steps with my local teacher - the parents of the other children helping everyone prepare for shows and exams, the Christmas parties. (Especially tne show we did at Battersea Arts Centre, then Battersea Town Hall; I'd forgotten my white shirt for a Tap number and a relative of another performer in the audience spontaneously removing their white shirt so I could perform.
